Product and classes will no longer be offered at the Fairmont location. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our loyal customers in that area. Product and classes will continue to be offered at the Morgantown location. If you need product supplies, please call Carly at 304-983-7770 ext #1. She will help you out so that you can get what you need in a timely matter. Ask about our Maintenance At Home Program, as you may be able to get the supplies shipped to you, rather than making the drive to Morgantown.
New Classes and Restarts:
I would like to take the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. As we begin move forward into 2012, take the time now to reflect on our positions with respect to our health and happiness. Now think about where we would like to be by 2013. There are many things occurring in the world today that could be influencing our personal state of affairs. Global economic woes, wars, and the continuous home front struggle with a failing healthcare and tax system, directly affect our lives. Although we cannot control the outcome of these major points on a higher level; we can make decisions regarding our own health and well-being, to help diminish the impact of some of these larger issues.
By making our health a priority, it can reduce many of the costs associated with eating poorly and being inactive. How many medications are we currently on that could be reduced or eliminated by losing weight and exercising? By what amount would monthly healthcare premiums be reduced? How much time is spent being sick or injured due to weight related problems; how much money is then lost due to missed work? How much money is spent on treatment?
Do we even know how much we spend at the grocery store each week, or at a Sheetz, drive-through, work cafeteria, restaurants, coffee shops, or vending machines? What percentage of that total is being spent on healthy foods? Our body is an expensive piece of machinery, and replacement parts are not always available! The type of fuel and oil we choose to put in our tanks and engines is incredibly important. Fast food may be cheaper, but it could leave us stranded on the side of the road in the desert.
How many hours of our day are lost sitting in front of computer or a television? How frequently do we have family meals, games, or activities? What are our children learning from us? Do we model the skills and habits needed to live a full, successful, and healthy life? Can we say that we are doing everything we need to do now, to insure their future will be better than our present? What changes can, and will, we make in 2012?
If losing weight and getting healthier is on your list of changes, give me a call or email me. I can get you started today to create positive changes in 2012. We have a number of options and programs available. We have classes that will be starting in January. Restarts can begin at any time. I look forward to hearing from you!!!
